What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit and debit card payments only. Apple Pay, cash, and any form of a prepaid card will not be accepted.
Do you take a security deposit?
A security deposit of $1,500 applied as a temporary hold on your credit card, is required on the first day of your rental. Once the vehicle is returned in the same condition, the hold will be released. However, if any damage is found, we will retain the deposit until an insurance claim is filed and processed. Please note that the time it takes for the hold to be released may vary depending on your bank’s policies and the insurance claim process. Any restricted area fines, late fees, toll charges, damages, or infringements of our policies will be deducted from this deposit.
Do I need insurance?
Do I need insurance if I’m an international customer?
Vehicles are available for rent to international visitors with a valid passport and a driver’s license from their home country. However, international renters are required to obtain U.S. auto insurance coverage from a third-party provider, such as Allstate or State Farm. Please note that we do not accept credit card rental coverage as a substitute for full U.S. auto insurance.
How fast am I allowed to go?
Does the T-Rex have an automatic or manual transmission?
The T-Rex has a manual transmission. We require guests to participate in a Guided Tour prior to a Self-Guided Tour to learn the operation of the T-Rex if they have no prior experience with the vehicles or a driving a manual car. Classes will be offered for an additional fee upon request.
What is the recommended attire for my T-Rex reservation?
Narrowed closed-toed sport shoes are required for safety.
Where can I go?
You are able to explore the beautiful Orange County anywhere within a required 100 mile range of our office. Exclusions are listed below.
Where can I NOT go?
GPS tracking and geofencing have been implemented on all of our T-Rex vehicles. Race tracks, gravel roads, desert and sandy terrain are all strictly prohibited and will result in a $500 penalty per occurrence.
When should I make my reservation?
Reservations should be made anywhere from 3 days to a full week prior to the day you’d like to have your experience. This allows for ample time to complete our digital waivers, insurance forms, and verification prior to coming in for your appointment.
Do you offer refunds?
All rentals are non-refundable. If you are unable to make it to your reservation or inclement weather occurs, you can reschedule for any future date at no extra charge. If rescheduling is not an option, we recommend selling your reservation to another party through your preferred method.
What are your hours of operation?
We operate on an appointment-only basis, and will not be open during any unfavorable weather conditions.
What if the T-Rex were to break down?
Should a vehicle break down or experience any issues due to normal wear and tear, we will coordinate a tow free of charge if you are within the required 100 mile range of our office. You will be fully responsible for any incident that occurs outside of the required 100 mile range, and additional penalties will incur. Road hazards, such as flat tires or other similar incidents, are not covered under a breakdown. The customer is responsible for addressing these issues, including arranging for a tow truck if needed. Please note that late returns due to such incidents may result in additional penalties and late fees.
Are the T-Rex vehicles HOV lane compliant?
Yes, T-Rex vehicles are HOV lane compliant.
What if I damage the T-Rex during my reservation?
Any damage incurred to the vehicle while it is in your care will first come out of the security deposit. Should you damage the vehicle and require a tow due to the damage, you will be responsible for all associated towing costs.
Can my passenger also drive the T-Rex?
Yes, the second passenger can also be authorized to drive for an additional $250 at check-in. They must attend a required guided tour if they have no prior experience with the vehicles, and the 20-minute briefing prior to the time of the rental.
Am I responsible for gas?
All rentals will be provided with a full fuel tank (125 miles total). Premium fuel is required. Rentals must be returned with a full tank, plus a mandatory physical receipt of purchase. Failure to return with a full fuel tank will incur a penalty of $100 plus the price of the fuel.
Am I responsible for toll fees?
Yes, all toll charges will be deducted from the security deposit.
